Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is Amal R. Alamuddin. She is a Lebanese British legal practitioner and human rights advocate. The graduate of Oxford University School of Law and New York University School of Law has achieved international recognition for her work and accomplishments in the areas of International human rights laws. Some of her most prominent clients include several nation-states including the country of Armenia in its fight for recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney was engaged in 2014, and then got married to American actor George Clooney. She instantly became a household name. In the years prior to her marriage, she was admired and well-known in legal circles due to her accomplishments in defending clients. The job she has is to represent multinational companies in court proceedings and negotiations regarding government regulations, and also human rights and social justice. Since 2015, Doughty Street Chambers is located in London and she was a barrister.
