Singer-songwriter John Denver touched millions of people, and achieved superstar status through his pop-folk songs based on folk, most of which were based in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Germandorf in Roswell near New Mexico, fell in love with Colorado. The place he settled was Aspen. A few traveled through Colorado due to Denver's famous songs for his home state. There isn't anyone else who represents Colorado such as John Denver said G. Brown curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was inducted into the Hall of Fame as its initial member in the year 2011. Today he personifies the state for people worldwide. While traveling, I are likely to meet people from opposite sides of the world. For example someone from New Zealand. And when you tell them you're from Colorado people will respond with "Oh John Denver!" Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 hits after he performed with small folk music bands. The song was written and performed by Bill Danoff. Danoff was credited with Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the track, however Denver discovered that it was destined to be a huge hit after he heard an earlier version. Danoff recorded the song within a couple of days of playing in Washington D.C. before an audience that was very enthusiastic.
